User Guide

Everything you can do on FindMyJob and how to do it.

Last updated: September 2026. This guide matches the site's current pages and labels.

1Create your account

  1. Choose Create account and register with email and password (or Google).
  2. Enter the one-time code sent to your email to verify your address.
  3. You now have one account that works as both a job seeker and an employer — switch roles anytime with the role toggle in the header or in Settings.

Forgot your password? Use Password reset.

2As a job seeker: build your profile

  1. Open My Profile and add your professional headline, location, and summary.
  2. Upload your resume — the site parses your skills, work history, and education automatically.
  3. Review parsed skills (add or remove any), set desired titles, industries, salary range, and remote/relocation preferences.
  4. Your address details stay private — they're used for search matching only, never shown publicly.

3As a job seeker: find and apply to jobs

  1. Search from the home page or Find Jobs — filter by keyword, location (city, state, or ZIP with radius), industry, salary, and job type.
  2. Sort results by best match or newest. Applying is always free: click Apply and you'll be redirected to the employer's own application page.
  3. Save searches from the results page to re-run later; Premium members get daily email alerts for new matches (see Saved Searches).
  4. See your application history and message employers from the Messages page.

4As an employer: post jobs

  1. First create your company profile under Company Profile — name, logo, website, and industries. You can also apply for the Verified badge.
  2. Post a job from Post a Job: add title, description, apply URL, one or many locations, salary (optional), and industries.
  3. Pay a flat per-post fee through secure checkout, or subscribe to a plan that includes monthly posts. Listings run 30 days and then auto-expire.
  4. The Feature Upgrade promotes all your active listings at once; plan subscribers can manage everything from the Employer Dashboard.

5As an employer: find and message candidates

Candidate search (with resume database access on Growth, Enterprise, or the standalone add-on) lets you filter profiles by skills, title, location, and industry, and start conversations that appear in the candidate's Messages inbox.

6Subscriptions & billing

Compare plans on the Pricing page. Manage and cancel recurring subscriptions anytime in Settings → Subscriptions; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect per our Refund Policy. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see your card details.

7Privacy & account controls

In Settings you can update your name and contact details, toggle your seeker/employer roles, export your data, or delete your account (which removes your profiles, messages, applications, saved searches, and cancels subscriptions). See the Privacy Policy for details.

8Troubleshooting & help

  1. Can't sign in? Use password reset, and check spam for the reset email.
  2. Job link no longer works? Aggregated listings can expire at the source — search for the title to find a fresher copy or the employer's direct post.
  3. Still stuck? Reach us on the Contact page or read the FAQ.
